51 DIVISION POLICE TARGET MEDICAL CANNABIS PATIENTS

At approximately 3 p.m. this afternoon, 51 Division officers raided a medical cannabis resource and support centre. C.A.L.M. has provided support for patients with debilitating illnesses that range from AIDS, cancer, glaucoma and MS for years. The police arrested 9 individuals found on site and confiscated their medication. The Queen St. location was targeted despite the fact that all individuals in question had federal licenses to possess, store and/or cultivate medical cannabis.

Is there anything we can do to help? there must be something we can do to make people aware of what has happened?

We will definitely be opening again, but it is too early to tell what the timeline will be. We will keep you updated.

Oh, a correction: It was 9 volunteers arrested, not 6.

51 DIVISION POLICE TARGET MEDICAL CANNABIS PATIENTS
Jct: Isn't it funny they don't know about POLCOA.Then again, without victims, it wouldn't be worth the fight. Sad that the defenceless (offenceless) guys get all the coverage and our POLCOA victories with the real defence weapon have yet to make the news. Derek Francisco got his exemption, then his equipment and pot back after charges withdrawn in Lindsay. Gerard Faux in Peterborough. Ken Surgent charges withdrawn in Windsor and he isn't even sick! He just filed his POLCOA motion to prohibit charges and the Crown withdrew the charges before it could be heard.
Ah well, POLCOA is for us to use. And good news, looks like we'.e found someone who is still before the courts for being busted before Gary Pallister Day May 14 2009 when Crown Attorney Kevin Wilson says Health Canada fixed the Sfetkopoulos Flaw 41 to bring the prohibition back to life after it being dead since Dec 30 2003.
So now we have someone charged before Wilson says they fixed Flaw 41 in the MMAR on May 14! We're getting the Wilson Submission to his lawyer who won't be too happy about his paying client finding a way to no longer be his paying climent any more!

Did the North York Branch also get nailed in this sweeping closure by the Police in their never ending battle to try to punish those who are commmiting no crimes? After all, to pursue those who may have actually done wrong may put the poor litttle boys in blue at risk. We wouldn't want those poor people who are being paid $40 per hour to actuallly have to run the gantlet would we?
The scrambling I ( and I'm quite certain most of us ) have to go through just to ensure that we have the money we need for pot considering that it is not covered under any recognized prescription is quite enough strain for those of us living below the poverty line without having the copshop decide that the Government is getting jealous over the competition for that crap they sell that make your house smell like a burning dumpyard and your mouth taste like you just ate a piece of wood from the side of the privy.
